Thinking of subscribing, any advice from current users? Do you see scanned images of materials viewed? May treat myself for Xmas. Happy Christmas! |

I was a little aprehensive about subscribing so I subscribed on the temporary basis, cost £7.50 I think. It's great, I would definately use it again! You see scanned images and it's well worth it. Take a chance and then if you don't get on with it, then it's only cost £7.50. It's really moved my research on. Regards Mandy |

My first years's subscription is about to end and I will definitely be renewing ! I find that it's worth it's weight in gold. Yes, you do see the images.. and can save them to your PC for future reference. I thought it was worth the momeny when it was just the 1891, but now that they have the 1871, 1881 and 1901 it's an absolute steal for the money. Do it, you know you want to ! Paul (ps, obviously it's not cheap, and some might not be able to justify the cost... there's lots of us who'll do lookups for you if you can't). |

Well worth subscribing. Santa brought me my subscription last Christmas, and I'll be VERY UNHAPPY if he doesn't bring me the same present this year :-) :-) Kath. x |

It got me through several brick walls, plus helped me locate a "missing" ancestor. There are still people "missing" but definately worth having. Lorraine |

Do it Helena! It's probably still cheaper via the US site. |

Valerie, If you mean that the page looks completely blurred, you have to wait for it to clear a section at a time. I think the time it takes to download fully depends on whether you have dial-up or broadband and what speed you have. Kath. x |

Helena Best money spent was on Ancestry, I use it all the time, it's also great to help others as there is no extra cost involved. Valerie Not sure what problems you are having, could like Kathleen says, there is also two view options normal and advanced view, if you are on broadband advanced view is brilliant, and I would not use the ordinary after that.
