Researching after 1901

In aswer to your first question, no census records after 1901 are (as yet) available for general public viewing.

I'm probably showing myself right up with this question - but am I right in thinking that there are no available census' to view after this time (100 years data protection type thing)?? And how do I go about researching after 1901 - do I rely on BDM websites, certificates, etc? Are there any other information sites available? Many thanks! Kate.
