Hiya, am trying to trace the family of my great great grandmother LOUISE KING. She lived in South London, married a black American doctor and had 2 daughters IDA (b 1895) and MABEL. I don't have info on her maiden name etc but do know she had at least one sister as I have a picture of them. Any suggestions??? Many thanks, Juliana

If you find Ida's birth reference in the GRO indexes and order the cert, Louise's maiden name will be on that. Then you can trace her marriage. With her husband (Ida's father)'s name, you should be able to find the family on the 1901 census. nell

If you need to follow up the one from "Gloster, Briston" I think it's almost certainly "Gloucester, Bristol" Christine
