ancestry UK or US?

I am thinking about joining one or the other but not sure which is best. Tonight I looked on the US site and put a name in for newspaper reports.. There were a lot for the one name but I have to join to get info. Does the UK site have this facility? I had a look at it but only saw the census and BMD registrations lists on there. Any advice about the choice of one over the other? All advice welcomed. Jean :-)

I use the UK info on the US site. It worked out a lot cheaper that way due to the good exchange rate.

Jean I joined the US site as at the time I didn't know that there was a UK one! Hoever I have since found that I can use my username and password on both sites, although I only get access to the 'services' I subscribed to i.e UK records and the newspapers bit (which cost me extra). I still can't view US census records even though I joined on the US site. Hope this help Sam

Thanks Brian, it worked but doesn't seem to have the info I found on th US site. Thanks as well to John and Sam I really think I will have to go for the US site. They found records for me but I couldn't view them. This obsession is turning out to be rather costly!! Ah Well its all good fun Jean :-)
