Hiya, my maternal family are estranged, so it has been very difficult for me to put together the family. My mothers great grandfather was the Lord Mayor of Stockport, does anyone know the best way of finding out his name/history. Also my mums mother was from Naples in Italy, any advice on finding info about them??? Please help!!! Many thanks

Hi, I think that Stockport Council Offices will have a list of all their Lord Mayors. Put Stockport Council in Google and see what comes up. Mary For Italian genealogy try this web page www.anzwers.org/free/italiangen
