Hi. My GGrandfather worked at the Old Kent Road Gasworks, as did many of his family. One of his sons Stanley Mathers had a photo and article published as an obituary after the second world war. Does anyone have any contacts of how I would find a copy of this photo? I've tried looking on ideal homes and looked through the Greenwich Historical site but can't seem to find anything. Any suggestions? Many thanks Mandy

I have done a search and came up with 2 items that might intrest you and could be worth following up. 1)A story from Greenwich industrial history society.-www(.)gihs(.)gold(.)ac(.)uk remove (). To get the story add..../ghost.html (not a ghost story) or find it on site "Ghost in the Dome" 2)The site of the gas works now has this comp on it. South London Timber Co LTD 709 Old Kent Rd The Old Gas Works London SE15 1PD. Some comps keep old records of ones that have been on the site befor.
