Hi Kelly, I have emailed you, but if you can find out from your gran whether her friend had a brother, that would help to narrow down the searches, also last known area.

Have you googled Womens Land Army? There are dozens of sites if you do. Including the BBC's Peoples War and there are some archives.

Hi Kelly, there are a lot of sites you can try. There is forcesreunited, also the BBC have a contact list for old army friends. If you put in a google search for old army friends or something, Im sure you will come up with dozens of sites. I have to say I put my Dad on a year ago and havent had any replies as yet! Good luck. Oh, and you could always try the electoral register or friendsreunited.

hi im trying to help my gran who really wants to get in touch with a lady she was with in the land army in 1946 does any one have any ideas how i may be able to trace her her name was DORRIS WEBBER bn AROUND 1926 lived in BLACKHEATH,LONDON my nan last heard from her in 1954 but she could have married now and moved any ideas?? thanks
