Does anyone know if you can re-register a birth for a living person. They only have a shortened cert.without the parents names and would like to include the parents names. The parents were married when the birth took place.

Full details would have to have been provided at the initial registration. Many people opted for a short cert when needing to prove their identity. It was cheaper than the full one, but a full one is easily obtained for £7 from the GRO or the local register office. nell
