I met a distant cousin 2 weeks ago (contacted through GR). I had never met him before and there he stood looking at me with the same eyes as my dear late mum. I couldnt believe it. She had such unusual green/grey eyes and so did he. In a way very sad, but also a comfort that life does go on and in a way we are all immortal.

Hi there. I had an old photo of my Great Aunt c1920's. There was a remarkable resemblance between her and my sister. Been through similar experiance myself. Regards A.

Hi Clare,You have my sympathy on your loss. Through a contact on genes i recieved a photo of my grandad who died in 1939 and i was amazed at the likness to my son . Its a shame we find out these things when its to late. Lynne

Possibly not the right place to post but i have been to a family members funeral today and i have finally seen pictures of my great g parents. My dear auntie passed away last week. Everyone agreed there is a striking resemblance between myself and gg mother, and there was me for years thinking i looked like no-one in my family. Just shows good looks can skip a few generations!
