Hi Thomas Edward Button, born c1862/63, Chelsea Middlesex. Occupation Bricklayer. He appears on 1891 Census as married to Elizabeth born c1864 (this is correct, I have Marriage Certificate). On 1901 Census a Thomas Button appears, Bricklayer, born in London, Parish not known, but married to Louisa born c1858. I have Elizabeths family 1871 census and there is no mention of a middle name so maybe he got divorced?! Any thoughts most welcome! |

Have you checked if Elizabeth died and he remarried a Louisa? I had this with one of my relatives. It confused me until I found the death of his first wife!! Jayne |

Hi, Being against a few brickwalls myself (covered with ivy & weeds too..!!), it's a nice feeling to be able to help add a new leaf or two to someone else's tree - I am sure many of us will agree. Happy Hunting & Merry Christmas. Hugs, Dawn. |
