If they married in church the parish marriage register will have the original signatures. This will probably have been deposited at the County record office. The local register office will have the register which was signed when the birth was registered. Usually if you ask for certs from the local office you get a typed copy but if you explained why you want to see the original they might make sure you get a photocopy of the original - its worth asking anyway.

My g.grandmother Mary Ann Millar (unmarried) had my grandmother also named Mary Ann Millar at 3 park hill terrace, Forest Hill on 29 july 1887 .Birth was registered by the father George Richardson who gave same address as above. He then disappears, my gran was adopted, my g.grandmother became a nurse and was living with her aunt and uncle by the 1901 census. I have my grandmothers b. cert and also a wedding cert for the George Richardson I believe to be my g. grandfather. Sorry to be so very long winded but how can I see the "actual original" birth and wedding certs as I thought if I could compare actual signatures from that time I might see how similar they are (there only being 2 years between birth and marriage ,and his writing might not have changed in that time)
