John, I've done that and listed all The Ploughs in the areas covered - I've just got to visit the ones that don't have photographs on the 'net !!! Might take a few trips and lots of pints - but worth it. Thanks again Heidi

Does anyone know where the Whitbread pub chain archives went to? I have a g grandfather - Edwin Osgood, who ran The Plough (location unknown/suspect London S/E England) which was a Whitbread pub. I've emailed Whitbread but they can't help. Whitbread sold out to Laurel's and the archives were distributed to various organisations as a reult about 4 years ago. Any help would be appreciated. BUT - Laurel's should be ashamed of themsleves for not keeping history/archives intact. After all, if they buy out someone, why not take on the history????
