A bit of googling found this: http://davidmcclean.members.beeb.net/church2.html which led to: http://www.fcofe.freeserve. etc there's this: http://www.episcopalhistory.org.uk/10englishepiscopal.html which mentions the short-lived existence of two churches in Glasgow. Christine

Margaret Report 3 Dec 2004 15:07

Could anyone tell me where I could find more information on the Free Church of England. I have a William Graham marrying a Mary Forsyth in the Emmanuel Church Glasgow according to the forms of the Free Church of England in 1904. Mary is shown on the 1901 census in Camlachie as being born in Ireland and I can find no trace of William's birth around 1883 in the Scottish records or any trace of him or his parents Thomas Graham and Matilda (m/s Johnston). Do you think it is possible that he too was Irish or maybe English. I am not too good at searching the English recrods but I haven't been able to find anything. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
