Does anyone remember my g grandfather, Joseph Walton Carr. He died at 12 Square Street, Bradford in January 1952 aged 73. He was born (and married) in Stockton on Tees. After his wifes' death in the early 1920's he moved to Bradford and it's his time here that's a mystery.

He could have married again? I had a look on http://www.yorkshirebmd.org.uk and found about five Joseph Carr's who'd married in Yorkshire between 1920 and 1952, one of whom was Joseph W Carr. Yorkshire Marriage indexes for the years: 1923 Surname Forename(s) Surname Forename(s) Church / Register Office Registers At Reference CARR Joseph W DOYLE Nellie St Jude, Potteryfield Leeds CE58/G/7 None of the Local BMD sites is complete yet, and this might not be yours anyway, but it could be worth asking for - on condition that the W stands for Walton. Christine - that's wonderful ! ! I agree it might not be him, but it's interesting, I'll certainly follow that up. I didn't know about that web site.

Hi If you don't know about that website, have you found this one, through which I found it? http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/ It's one I use quite a lot. It's just links but really well-organised ones. Christine
