I have just started to look up my GGrandfathers records, but straight away have hit a blank wall. Grandad always told us that he was in the Warwickshire Whites, and that he walked accross land to the Russian Oilfields to take them from the Germans and hold them, they had a pack horse and what they could carry and went ahead of the others to clear any snipers ( He was also a sniper) out of the way, and that is all he said ( except for the fact that he reckoned that he never he didn't come into contact with the enemy) (Yeah right). But no one seems to have heard of the Warwickshire Whites. Has anyone else come up against this problem and how did they get around it. Traceylee
