I am looking for a marrage on 1837. Its not listed, does anybody know why this might be? Are things sometimes not logged? Thanks for any help, James |

The names might have been mistranscribed. Are you cetain they were actually married? Anne |

Several possibilities... - maybe they didn't legally marry. - maybe they married outside of England & Wales. - maybe they were missed off of the index. - maybe they were mistranscribed on the index. - maybe one or both partners were registered under different names to those that you are expecting. - maybe they married at a different time or in a different place to when/where you were expecting. |
