I am looking for a marrage on 1837. Its not listed, does anybody know why this might be? Are things sometimes not logged? Thanks for any help, James

James you could put a thread on asking someone to look for you if you know the dates sometime you can miss them

The names might have been mistranscribed. Are you cetain they were actually married? Anne

Several possibilities... - maybe they didn't legally marry. - maybe they married outside of England & Wales. - maybe they were missed off of the index. - maybe they were mistranscribed on the index. - maybe one or both partners were registered under different names to those that you are expecting. - maybe they married at a different time or in a different place to when/where you were expecting.
