Can anyone tell me which Register Office covers this area? I want to send for a certificate but dont know where to send it to and i cant seem access to get the register office info on GENUKI

Hartley WiNtney Created 1st July 1837. Sub-districts : Farnborough; Hartley Wintney; Odiham GRO volumes : VII (1837-51); 2c (1852-1930). Bramshill, Cove (from 1869), Crondall, Crookham, Dogmersfield, Elvetham, Eversley, Farnborough (from 1869), Fleet, Greywell, Hartley Wintney, Hawley with Minley (from 1869), Heckfield, Long Sutton (from 1869), Mattingley, Odiham, Rotherwick, South Warnborough, Winchfield, Yateley (from 1869). If ever you're trying to find it in an atlas / on Multimap or whatever, or if you're putting the name into a census search, say, you'll need to know that it really does have another N in it: Hartley Wintney I keep wanting to spell it the same way you have done in your header (probably because of Witney, Oxfordshire), but it definitely appears with two Ns in all the maps. It doesn't create any problems for a person reading it, but a computer prog may not have the flexibility to accommodate the difference. Christine
