Try googling Seeling.There are lots on there although mainly from America.You are right about the German connection |

thanks Sam and Helen for reply.My GGF was ''allegedly''34 in 1874 when he sailed to NZ on the Woodlark.His name was William Seeling.There is a WS in the 1771 but wrong age by a mile!He in turn is not on 1881!I reckon he might have been German as I have found lots of "Seelings'' who are described as German born but UK citizens!!! |
