It means the doctor knew he'd had it for 6 months - he could have had it for years before receiving treatment. nell

I would have thought it meant he had been suffering from/treated for the condition for that long.

I have just received a death certificate for my g/father. Under "Cause of death" it states :- (1) Pulmonary Tuberculosis 6 months certified by.....etc. Can you explain the "6 months". Thanks in advance Rgartds, Mick.
