Thanks Peter, I only realised that Holloway is now a women's prison when I rang my husband late last night (he's a London cab driver so is privvy to these things!). Thanks also Helen, as the record shows Holloway I thought it might be the case that it changed after 1901. I'll try the site you suggest |

I may have found my great grandfather Albert Knight (age 37 born Essex) in the 1901 census. He was a guest of Her Majesty at Holloway Prison. I keep hitting a brick wall when trying to find the court records. Any ideas please? |
