looking for parish records hockliffe/chalgrave bed

Or you could contact the Bedfordshire Family History Society. They have parish records up to 1812 for sale on microfiche. Also census data for 1851 for each parish. Anne |

You don't need to go to Bedford to view the parish registers. Find your nearest LDS Family History Centre at http://www(.)familysearch(.)org/Eng/Library/FHC/frameset_fhc.asp (remove brackets), go there and order film number 1279127 for Hockliffe. You can then view the registers on microfilm at the FHC - but it can take a few weeks from ordering to the microfilm being received. |

Im quite new to all this but my late father did a lot of research pre internet! My g/g/grandfather was bapt 27/08/1826 in hockliffe/chalgrave bedfordshire. How do i get access to parish records other than making a journey to bedfordshire? I think he had a sister Ann and their parents were William and Ann??? Any help appreciated Thanks |
