Why not use the 2 week free trial? far easier. If your times up, make up another log on name using a different email address even a partners email address etc works for me

Hi all I wasn't trying to cause any trouble its just up to last week I was able to get in and this has been of great help. And if you can get something for free you do! And I am sure that aplies to everybody out there and all of us on GR I have paid for sites in the pass but I am not working at the moment as I am on adoption leave and so wanted to carry on with my family tree! I also was trying to find out as much as I can for my mother as I lost my father recently. she had ask me to find out as much as i can about her family because she dosen't know a lot being sent to a childrens home and foster out from a early age!

Hi Grace, It was given to library members, as I understand it, and some of them passed the word. The last time Gale passwords were publicised on the boards ancestry withdrew access. There was a thread about this a week or so ago. Gwynne

Hi I am still accesssing the site which I saved in favourites following info given by one of our kind people. It comes up "infotrac(.)galegroup(.)com/itweb/perr67691". How can this be considered hacking when all the access information including the password was given by the library in the first place. G

Hi, Access to ancestry through the back door is closed when they find out it is public knowledge. It wasn't meant to be a free trial for the public just library users. Technically to use it is hacking. Gwynne
