How far back do birth cert go. I have a name of a pos relly but thats it. Would it be worth my time looking to see if he has a cert, were talking + 1803 that being his sons birth date. That name came via Ballot baptism index, have found nether on a census.

This could be tricky then I think the dad was born in Norway. but not one hundred per cent certen
