I am a member of the Mersey Light Vessel Preservation Society have a look at their website www. barlightvessel(.org.uk) don't forget to remove the brackets. Somebody there might be able to help. Linda x

I happened to notice a recent(?) book on lightships in a shop this morning. I think it was called No Port In A Storm but going from memory Martin

Not sure what part of the country you are looking but don't forget that Trinity House do not cover Scotland. There is the Northern Lighthouse Board up here. Martin

THANKS BELLE HAD A LOOK IT WILL KEEP ME GOING ALL NIGHT. I HAVE COME ACROSS A LOVELY POEM REFLECTS THE THOUGHTS OF A MAN ON A LIGHTSHIP, THAT HAS GIVEN ME AN INSIGHT OF LIFE ON BOARD, SO HOW KNOWS WHAT ELSE I SHALL FIND. JANET

Hi Janet, I think your best bet is to type lightships into google or Ask Jeeves to see what comes up, we have an old lightship near us the Inner Dowsing moored in the Hoo Marina that has been turned into a restaurant. Happy hunting Belle.

I AM LOOKING FOR INFOMATION ABOUT A RELATIVE WHO SERVED ON A LIGHTSHIP IN THE LATE 1800, CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHERE TO LOOK PLEASE. JANET.
