obtaining irish cert without mothers name

I ordered a cert off genfindit a few days ago, but I haven't heard anything.........how long do they normally take? I am waiting for them to tell my there were no records on the space ship !

Well i have just ordered it off genfindit thanks for the link sean. Rang gro in dublin but kept getting transferred to voicemail so i give up!

i managed to get one without the mothers maiden name,i didn't even know her christian name.just filled in the form with the details i did know and they sent a reply saying there were two possibles,just had to tick the one i wanted---no problem

hello...try this website , they do searches for you with the minimum of information and they send you the cert aswell ! , cost me £14 last time but well worth it !! http://www.genfindit.com/ireland.html

Probably not if you simply send the form off on spec. They could find it but they won't. You could try phoning them. The alternative is to order the baptisms from the LDS and trawl through in the hope that the mother's maiden name was recorded.

Hi i am about to apply for great grand fathers birth cert, but the form asks for his mothers maiden name. Is it possible for them to send it me without this even though i know his dob??
