I can't help directly, but I'd try googling and looking at mining museum info, industrial museums, things like that. Museum curators are usually very helpful. In case you aren't already aware, if you want to search in Google for a two-part name or phrase, you need to put it into inverted commas so that it gets treated as a single item... like "Fred Bloggs". It's likely he worked in the one nearest to where he lived. I'd also recommend putting words like "mine", "miner" into the thread-search. But beware, I think it's case-sensitive, so you'd also need to try "Mine" & "Miner" and "MINE" and "MINER"! Christine |

I'm still quite new to this and three weeks in i still need lots of help, can any one tell me how to find out where my g.grandfather worked he was a miner in derby. thanks in advance debbie |
