Anyone good with English geography ??

I have been going crazy with maps all night. The toughest one is this. I have a rel who on the census was born in Newsom Green, York. I am wonderinging if 20years years later it could be a person who was born at Otterington York??? Anyone know please??? |

There is no Otterington in Yorkshire.There is an Ottringham. |

I did find a North Otterington and a South Otterington near Northallerton. |

There is both a North and South Otterington in North Yorkshire - not far from Northallerton. There is a Newsham less than a mile from South Otterington but no idea if there is a Newsham Green. There is a Newsam Green which falls under the Parish of Whitkirk about 4 miles East of Leeds in West Yorkshire. (which is nowhere near Northallerton) Hope this is some help, Emma. |

Emma, I think that must be the place. They went from Cawood, to Newsom green then to Leeds. Guess the guy from Otterington is not my man then............DARN thanks for your help |
