some people have the electoral roles of all the living people in UK. Do a search & I am sure they will look up your aunt for you.

You need to check whether or not she married else you'll be searching th e contemporary material under the wrong name. The only way to really do this if you have no-one to ask is a year by year trawl of the GRO. If she has a very common name this could be quite a long and arduous process and you may have to order a few certs before you can be certan you have the right person. If its a less common name it'll be quicker but you still need to go year by year following the name. Even if you find a married name for her in 1960 then you'll need to carry that name forward again in case she remarried and work youway to the present day.. It can be time consuming but very rewarding if you find her and she can fill lots of gaps in your research. Zoe p.s. its stillw orth havingn searches under her maiden name in the recent electoral rolls anyway - you may be real lucky and she's not married at all.

You can check old electoral rolls in the library of the area she was living in providing she didnt marry and change her name before she was old enough to vote.
