If you put the name into Google it brings back a lot of German sites, and nothing if you click on u.k. search so I think the name is probably German. Kath. x |

David, CEMIRA (without the second 'i') is a celtic word meaning snake!! I think it's pronounced chemira. There is a celtic tale about a lame child who is sent to the underworld and baptised Cemira. - could say something about the health of the person given this name! Google Cemira and uk search maggie |
