Hi, Just to let you know that I obtained a death certificate from the GRO in Southport for one of my people killed in Flanders in 1917. The only information on the certificate confrmed what I already knew, date and presumed place of death (which I got from the Commonwealth War Graves site). If you're pinning your hopes on getting any other good information from the certificate, then you might be a bit disappointed. It might be worth checking it out first? Regards Mary |

If someone was killed (in France) in WW1, was a death cert issued, and would I find it in 1837online? If not, where (and he is not listed in the war graves) Peter |
