Hello Ann Sorry, I couldn't type it properly on here but this is how I found it, I googled for; Guild of one name studies, selected; Register of one name studies (2nd on the list) scrolled down to the alphabet and selected R scrolled down to Riggs I hope it works for you. Heather

hi, thanks for all your help. Thank you Amanda (who shares my birthday) for your offer and e mail address. On another website i found out that Geof Riggs is actually The Director of the federation of Family history Societies among other things. This website is Riggsology the study of the Riggs surname. I have contacted him via the webmaster address but if I don't hear anything I will contact him again using the address on here. so, many thanks. Great finding your tree on google but the sad thing is that it tells me there is a gap in the Parish register between 1695 and 1719, and it looks as though my GtX4 grandfather would have been born in that period!! Hi Ann His email address is Riggs(at sign)one-name.org remove brackets I've contacted a couple of people doing these one-name studies, they were very helpful and in return they were grateful for any information that I could supply. Heather

Hi Ann There is a web site for the Guild of One Name Studies. Not sure of the web address, but I'm sure if you Google it, you will find it that way. I think that anybody who has registered in the guild is honour bound to reply to your query, and if you have other info, they would be only too pleased to hear form you. Hope this helps. Pauline

Hi Ann I don't have the answer to your question, but if you don't get one I can try to contact the gentleman for you through Ancestry. No idea how to but I'm willing to try. I will send you my e mail address. Best wishes Amanda (who shares your birthday)

I typed in the name of my Gt, Gt grandmother Elizabeth Dominey to Google and it came up with a one name study of her husband William Notley Riggs My Gt X 2 grandfather which appears to be on Rootsweb. I would like to contact the person (Geof Riggs) who has done this study as it has my Gt x2 Grandfather on it and my Gt grandfather (although it says he died unmarried which is untrue). Has anyone any ideas how to contact this gentleman. Is the only way by being a member of Ancestry? Ann Glos
