Have you tried looking at page setup or print setup and check that there is nothing in the header and footer section This is usually written in code, such as a & for date and other symbols for other things. If there is anything there, delete it and try printing again.

Hi Louise I brought this up the other night on general and Michelle from GR said the team are trying to find out why this is happening to some and not others. She's asked if anyone with the problem could contact them saying what system you are on and what version of adobe you are using. I downloaded them no problem from the Martha stewart website too. Hope they manage to sort it out best wishes Christine

I have now looked at the similar thread on General Topics and no-one seems to understand this. I have given up and downloaded an alternative chart from www*marthastewart*com/images/pdf/family_tree.pdf as I promised to do one for my niece to take to school tomorrow and I am running out of time.

Same thing happens to me....you are not going mad !! LOL there is another thread on general topics as well............it doesn't seem to happen to everyone tho for some reason.

Just tried printing the downloadable fan chart and I am now having an IT nightmare. Although everything looks clear on screen and in print preview, when I actually print the chart it has a black and a grey box covering the bottom section. Has anyone else had this problem and more importantly can anyone help me fix it? Thanks, Louise
