Andy If you do not know the actual reference of the birth cert it might be worthwhile seeing if this website could help. http://www(.)genfindit(.)com/ireland.html Haven't personally used it and therefore cannot comment on the level of service it provides. With kind regards Karen |

This info is on the Getting started section of this website - on the homepage but you have to scroll down to find it: be recorded on 1 April 1845 and all births, marriages and deaths from 1 January 1864. Records are with the Registrar General at Joyce House, 8-11 Lombard Street, Dublin 2, + 353 1635 40000, www.groireland.ie. Civil records for Northern Ireland from 1922 are kept by the Registrar General of Northern Ireland at Oxford House, 49-55 Chichester Street, Belfast BT1 4HL (0232 235221), www.nisra.gov.uk/gro. nell |

I am trying to find the exact birth details of a James O'Mara believed born in Limmerick 16 Feb 1906. Has anyone any ideas how best I can find the birth cert for James? Is there a web site or do I have to apply via record office and, if so, any ideas of the address? Grateful for any assistance.......... |
