Any suggestions as to how to find info on people born c1919 to c1936. Have only names and approx birth year - they might have passed on. Know place of birth too. Can't visit libraries - live abroad. Any wise folk out there?

Hi, There is a pay to view website 1837online which has all births, marriages and deaths 1837 - 2002. This gives you the references which you can use to buy the certificates. It can be quite expensiv but if you have an idea of the dates it's not too bad. Certainly cheaper than the air fare to England! Gwynne

You could also see if Salford has a web page. I have uesd a few sites for other towns to find living relatives (or ones who might be rememberd if dead) with a mixed result, Only one was a total negative the other two gave me new leads one to a lot of relatives I had no knolage of.
