Hi Karen, You are lucky if you have a place of birth for her father on a birth cert. I ordered my daughters grandparents death certs (her fathers side) knew the dates of deaths, so got Grandads. place of birth Ireland. Great help, my daughter laughed as there were 10 children, one of which should have known where. Get Nan's she said as Grandad would have registered hers, same thing, just says Ireland. Good luck with your search, Best wishes Amanda

On my Grandmas birth cert her father was simply from Ireland.........no help to me.........can't find any trace of him. I was wondering if I got her sister's birth cert who was born 11 years earlier, if he might have written where in Ireland he was from. I know it's a long shot & don't really want to waste any more money. Any ideas? thanks
