I don't know what I want for Christmas at all this year. As I really into researching my family tree, I'd like to get something to assist me with my research. Could anyone recommend anything to buy? Any sites I could subscribe to yearly etc. I thought about the Staffordshire census for 1851 or 1861 (if they exist - I'm new to this!!) but i don't know if they're worth it. My ancestors seem to be mainly in the Staffordshire area. Many Thanks, Helen |

If you haven't got a subscription for Ancestry, it's well worth it. I got a year's subscription for Christmas last year and I've hardly had a day without going on it. If a year's subscripton is too expensive then you can get a quarterly subscription or I think you can buy vouchers. I'm definitely renewing my subscription. Kath. x |

Yes Im surprised a few people have said its too expensive for what you get. Im on there every day for hours and its costing me about £1.20 a week, I think thats a bargain. Pity about the number of transcription errors though!!!! |
