Hi Maggie Thanks for your reply. That explains a lot if West Yorkshire is not on yet. Any ideas when its going to be complete? Or is it just a keep checking and see what comes up job? Cheers Kelly xxx

Unless they have updated recently there is only parts of East Yorkshire on there. All mine are West Yorkshire and not on there yet. Am enjoying looking at the 1881 images that they have just put on there though. Maggy

The 1871 is not complete yet, but they do keep adding areas to it. I thouhgt that Yorkshire had been added, but apparently only some has. Have you tried searching with just the first name and birthplace and other information that you know, just in case the surname was transcribed wrongly

Hi all Just a quickie...... Im a subscriber on the Ancestry web site and am currently looking at the 1871 census records. Im in search of Chas/Charles Daveney & Sarah Daveney recorded as being on Japan Street, Ovenden, Halifax on the 1881 census had a child in the same area in 1856. Why cant i find them on the 1871 census? Is this census fully transcribed? Could they be mis-spelt on there? Help! Any ideas welcome Kelly xxx
