Teresa Puzzled - I have no birth certs that give the nationality of either parent. What does it say that makes you think he is Welsh? nell

Trying to identify my grandfather's place of birth. Someone on this board very kindly found him on the Ancestry site under the Indian army list and this gave his date of birth as 15 Oct 1866. His name is Charles Edward Bayliss, I have a copy of my aunt's birth certificate which states that his nationality is Welsh but I can find no trace of him. I can remember my mother talking about an aunt Susan but that's all I know. Thankyou for any help. Teresa
