Sue you will need to go to your local LDS and order the film, no money no film, you may need to book a film reader to view the film depending on how busy. They hold some records depends on which one you use. They are usually very helpful and friendly. Good luck, Ros.

I don't have enough hours in the day to get to London. I have an LDS centre near me in Orpington. If I ring them up will they be able to tell me if they have it in stock? Do I have to go there or can they send me a copy?

You can view the 1881 census (and the other censuses from 1841 to 1901) for the whole of England and Wales at the Family Records Centre in Myddleton Street, London. County Records Offices and some large libraries will have the census films for their own area. I've never used them but I believe LDS family history centres will also order the films for you to view, if they haven't got them on site already.

Hi, I have managed to trace some rellies on the 1881 Census through the LDS site. On the source information is a Family History Library Film reference number, and Public Records Office reference number and a folio number. How anyone tell me how I can see a copy of these please??? Thanks in advance. SUE
