Wootton was part of the Woodstock District Woodstock Created 1st July 1837. Sub-districts : Deddington; Woodstock. GRO volumes : XVI (1837-51); 3a (1852-1930). Asterleigh, Begbroke, Bladon, Blenheim Park, Cassington, Combe, Cutteslowe, Deddington, Duns Tew, Glympton, Gosford, Hampton Gay, Hampton Poyle, Hensington, Kiddington, Kidlington, Middle Aston, Nether Worton, North Aston, Old Woodstock, Over Worton, Rousham, Sandford St. Martin, Shipton on Cherwell, Steeple Aston, Steeple Barton, Stonesfield, Tackley, Thrup, Water Eaton, Westcott Barton, Wolvercot (1837-95), Woodstock, Wootton, Yarnton.

Hi, Ive got some rellies that according to the census are born in Wootton in Oxfordshire. Ive tried finding a birth for one of them but it doesnt show as Wootton, would anyone know what it would come under? Thanks, Claire
