Hello Good People, I'm hoping you can help me find one of my ancestors. On the 1881 census he appears Harry Ayres Head M age 22 B. City of London occupation Police Constable. His wife is Emily Ayres M age 22 b. Pitford, Northampton Occupation Housekeeper. I have checked the 1891 & 1901 census but can't seem to find him anywhere! Any idea's? Naomi x |

Naomi I checked the 1901 census online first of all for all people called Harry aged 42 +/- 1 year born London and with occupation containing police. Once I got a hit there I matched up that on ancestry to view the original image there - the police hospital seems to be part of the police station. Still looking on 1891 for either him or Emily |

Hmmm, I was looking on Ancestry and tried Harry Ayres and the age and police and still couldn't find him. I must have been blind! lol Thanks Zoe, I really appreciate your help. Naomi x |
