Found people on IGI - my relatives or not??

Hi I have done a search on the IGI for the parents of two relatives, Charles Booth bc 1826 and William Booth bc1828. I found their christening records, giving parents as William Booth and Priscilla. Searching on just the parents names brings up 2 more sons and 4 daughters that I knew nothing about. What I need to know is the IGI correct/true? The batch numbers all begin with a C, which is apparently the christening register as opposed to a member submission so does this mean that these records are from the parish registers and I can add these siblings to my tree? Any help much appreciated. Sam |

Have another look at the source and see if a film is listed. If so, you should be able to order it from any LDS centre then get a printout of the actual page |

Yes the C..... entries are parish records so pretty reliable but its still necessary to check the original register to check that there hasn't been a mistranscription - also the register may have extra information not transcribed by IGI |

Hi Carol Yes there is a film number next to all the entries. Sorry if I'm being dead thick but what would I be looking at - the actual page from the parish registers? Getting very excited as I have just found the marriage of William Booth and Priscilla in 1822 as well and wondering if I am getting excited over something that might not be correct or real! Thanks Sam |
