I'm not having any b----y look with this at all. Trying to trace info back from the 1901 census: Elizabeth Neaves b-1872, maiden name Turner, Married Halkett Neaves September 1891 West Derby, Liverpool. On the census it has her being born in Solese, Yorkshire ha, ha. This is a laugh a minute as it also has her mother Catheaine Turner being from a place called Queess Auty, Ireland (but that's another story!!). Checked and cannot come up with anything similar, any suggestions will be appreciated.

I hardly dare ask where she was born on the 1881 census!

Right - I've had a look at the original image and the writing is very bad. Cant really hazard a guess as to what it says - trying to compare to other writing on the page so bear with me and I may come up with a better answer Zoe

Paula Quess Auty is really Queens County now known as County Laois. Can't help with the other stuff though. Good Luck Pat x

Thanks pat for your earlier message regarding Catheaine/Catherine. Have been going down that road t-day but i think that's gonna be just as frustrating, as again i don't actually have a district in the county, and i don't know yet if Turner was her married or single name untill i tie her daughter down with her place of birth. When i saw the name of where Elizabeth was born i laughed, this has to be one of the worst census's i've seen so far, but never mind at least i'm managing a laugh, not yet at the crying stage!! I'm sure i'll do that later ha,ha

Sorry Paula Thought someone else was in trouble with that place name. Sorry I cannot help with the other complications. Pat x

Can't read the place in Yorkshire on the 1901 image, but on the 1891 census Elizabeth has her birthplace as Liverpool. Lancashire. I'm sure it's the right Elizabeth as she is with her mother Catherine from Queens County, Ireland. Kath. x
