'gypsies' not on census?

Legand has it in our family that Herbert Jennison born c1880 was himself or a direct descendant of 'gypsies' how would you go about tracing them? Did they register anywhere? Does anyone have any fresh ideas? I'm all out of them at the moment!!!! |
