Hi, Can anybody tell me of a way to get certificate indices online? Im not having much luck with BMD ( always busy) . I only have sketchy information and want to have a good root round!. Its for various events between 1860 and 1910. I cant get to London very easily now to view the big books!! thankyou , Jacqui

I guess it will have to be 1837 online - pay per view, quite expensive if you are just looking around. You need to have a very good idea of the dates or it will cost a fortune.

You could see the same information as the big books in London in your nearest large library, record office or family history centre (Mormon). They will be on microfiche or film and are readily available to search for free. Anne
