Hi Michelle. You need to put the names on here .Im sure someone can help.As to the cost .Im in NZ so order online. It costs 7 pounds for a cert.In Aus dollars it depends on the exchange rate which changes all the time. You will need the GRO number to order thats why you need the names on here. Just adding. The time for delivery varies.I ordered 3 and have only received 1 so far that took 10 days. They are very busy.

You can give the gro the details you have with a request to only send if the surnames are" whatever" for the bride. They will charge a search fee of £3 but you would get the difference back of £4.00 I think , have a look at their website for your other queries www(.)col.statistics.gov.uk, I think they are a lot quicker than they used to be , it should tell you on their website, it's quite comprehensive. I'm not sure about Aussie dollars! remove bracket from webiste address Kim

You head your query Marriage Cert, but then ask about birth certs - are you looking for both? You would need to have a reference to apply for a birth or marriage certificate. Perhaps you could look on Freebmd for or search 1837 on line. Check out GRO website. A certificate costs £7 - whatever the exchange rate is in Aus dollars. I got mine back within a week.
