I think you will find he was german I have that surname in my lot and he came from Germany there are a lot of Hymans Heimans and other forms of spelling on familysearch along with some Henry Hymans but I wasnt sure where walton was so have a look but I would put his birth date as 1878 2 years either side

There's a Samuel 11 in the workhouse at Long Ashton/Bedminster a couple of miles away who claims to come from Bedminster. Incidentally, Henry's birthplace given as "W w" on Ancestry should be "NK" - not known.

hi....was he born with the double barrelled....or reason for it by marriage? have found 2 possiblities on 1881 census....1 in then name goldman and the other in hyman( gemran name)

since i was at school the story of my great grand father always interseted me and while still at school i started my quest to find out where henry came from but i just turn up blanks. he was born in 1878 and is found on the 1891 census in walton in gordano portishead working as a farm labour age 13 years. all the information we have been given by family members is correct but where did he come from, my grandmother told how he appered in the area with his brother ( sam) does anyone think i will ever find him. i have nearly given up
