Hi I have a couple of email addresses thanks to Kath and Lizz, if anyone wants them please sent me a message, as GR for what ever reason keeps cutting chucks of the addresses, thanks girls for your help, I can now track down my Mum's War records.......Lilly

Hi Lilly the Flower, Just seen your thread- i not long ago received info from the Fire Service about a rellie and on it the E-Mail addy was as follows- www(.)london-fire(.)gov(.)uk remember to remove brackets- wish you well with your hunt. Lizz. p.s. don`t forget to put which station she was attached too.

When you're putting in a web address you just have to make sure you don't ever have a "dot" just before "co" - in any context - otehr wise GR will suppress a chunk of your text. i usually put in an asterisk e.g.: .*com Christine

Kath, thanks for your reply but..... I tried putting 'press brackets' in google and got.... wall brackets!!!! and DIY I am sure thats not what you meant LOL, help required please.......Lilly

Got this address from googling: press@london-fire(.)gov(.)uk remove brackets Maybe they can point you in the right direction for archive records. Kath. x

Hi All, can any one point me in the right direction to try and get my late mother's Fire Brigade WW2 records she was in the Fire Brigade for some fours years I have sent email to Record Services London Fire.gov.uk but it was returned as 'address not recognised' even though I got the email address from the web, any ideas or suggests welcome. thanks ........Lilly
