Trade Directories, Liverpool

I have just found my husbands line on the 1881 census for Liverpool. His Great Gran is shown as a furniture dealer. When I read this I suddenly recalled his mother telling me when they were kids they would go and help grandad at his furniture warehouse in Liverpool. That would have been the 20's 30's I suppose. Does anyone know which site would show trade entries for that sort of trade in Liverpool. Have googled but not come up with anything.
