BRAZIER

It's a fire in a metal container on a stand,i seem to remember them sometimes in the winter next to the little vans selling Jellied Eels & the like.

Hi Helen i not sure i was looking in the passing through site and found my ggg grandfather, in the comment column it had brazier but in other comment column it they were either gypsy, traveller. Julie

I guess Gypsies would have had them,they're better than a fire on the ground.

I got excited then - my Nans maiden name was Brazier :-) - her family came from Essex (as far back as 1790 and they were the norm - ag labs!) Karen
